Overview
This moderate-level trek takes you from the beautiful alpine valley of Naltar, known for its lush pine forests and vibrant lakes, over the Naltar Pass (4,200m/13,780ft) into the Ishkoman Valley. It provides spectacular views of three distinct mountain ranges—the Hindu Kush, Hindu Raj, and Karakoram—as well as countless 6,000m and 7,000m peaks. The trek passes through summer pastures where you can meet local Gujars, and is accessible from Gilgit via an adventurous jeep ride.
